DICO: Dice Roguelike

Turn a fistful of dice into impossible scores.

DICO is a hand-made dice roguelike about matching, multiplying and pushing your luck one throw too far. Every score is FATE x FORTUNE: FATE is the sum of the pips you keep, FORTUNE is what your matched groups multiply it by. Line up groups and straights, chain relics in the right order, and watch a modest handful of dice erupt into a blaze of numbers.

HOW IT PLAYS - Tap the dice you want to keep, reroll the rest, then score your read. - Matching faces multiply: a pair of 6s is x6, three 6s is x36. - Three throws per trial. Beat the target before you run out. - Spend a Bend charge to nudge a single die when you are one face short.

BUILD AN ENGINE, NOT A HAND Between trials a market sells relics, die materials and one-shot rituals. Relics resolve LEFT TO RIGHT and you drag them into order yourself - sequencing them is the real decision, exactly as it is in a deckbuilder. Forge a die into Iron for flat points, Gold for coins, Silver for a safe multiplier, Glass for a bigger one that might shatter, or Obsidian that cannot break.

SEVEN MODES, FIVE STAKES From a two-die mode where every die spawns its twin, to a seven-die mode that banishes your highest unmatched die on every read. Each mode breaks one rule and asks for a different plan. Five difficulty stakes on top, from the gentle Seer to the merciless Voidseer.

RULE-BREAKING BOSSES Every third trial is a boss that suspends one law of the game - one hides half your dice until you score, one taxes your winnings, one feeds on groups that grow too large. Beating them is a puzzle, not a coin flip.

SAME SEED, SAME DICE Runs are seeded. Share a seed and a friend gets the exact dice you got, in the same order - so a better score is a better plan, never luckier rolls.
